Biography

I am an assistant professor of surgery and trauma at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where I practice trauma surgery and critical care. I am interested in the intersection of violence, trauma and the social determinants of health, and manage our hospital based violence intervention program as well as the surveillance core of the New Jersey Center for Gun violence research.

I am a graduate of Kalamazoo College, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, trained in general surgery at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group and trauma and surgical critical care at Washington University in St. Louis.
