Biography

Rheanna Platt is a Child Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and medical director of the Latino Family Clinic at Johns Hopkins Bayview's Community Psychiatry Program. Initially trained in pediatrics before going into psychiatry/child psychiatry, much of her clinical and research work relate to the provision of mental health care and preventive interventions in primary care settings.

She has a particular interest in promoting mental health of immigrant parents in primary care and community settings. She is also part of a multidisciplinary group examining suicide and suicide risk in Latino immigrant youth in the current political context.
