Biography

Dr. Jeremy Fletcher, PT, DPT, OCS is the Director of Community Integration for Veterans Recovery Resources, a Mobile, Alabama based “by Veteran, for Veteran” non-profit mental and physical health clinic. Dr. Fletcher holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of South Alabama and is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and Veteran of the War in Afghanistan. His personal experience with mental illness led him to become an expert in the management of chronic pain and health behavior, serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy from 2015-2021. Within his role at VRR, he leads the development of an innovative community-based mental health programming for Veterans, First Responders and their Families. He is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar, Bronze Star Medal recipient, and the American Physical Therapy Association’s Federal Section Innovator Award winner. He has presented on the topics of chronic pain and health behavior at the state, national, and international levels and currently teaches Trauma-informed Pain Care through the Integrative Pain Science Institute.
