Dr. Miller is Professor of Oral Medicine College of Dentistry, and Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics in the College of Medicine at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY. He is a clinician, clinical translational scientist, and University Research Professor at the University of Kentucky.
Craig has authored more than 200 scientific articles, textbook chapters, and monographs regarding oral infections, dental pharmacology, dental management and oral manifestations of systemic disease. He served as Editor of the Oral Medicine Section of Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology, and currently is an Associate Editor of Oral Diseases.
He has received more than 25 years of funding from the National Institutes of Health for scientific research, and he has lectured around the world. Dr. Miller is well known from three nationally and internationally acclaimed textbooks he has coauthored: the Color Atlas of Common Oral Diseases; Oral Diagnosis, Oral Medicine and Treatment Planning; and Dental Management of the Medically Compromised Patient now in its 9th edition.
Dr. Miller serves as a consultant to the National Institutes of Health and as an expert witness in legal matters, and has received lifetime achievement awards in Oral Medicine and Oral Diagnosis.
