Dr. Misra is an integrative pediatrician with a passion for serving vulnerable populations including immigrants and refugees. She is the medical director of the Texas Children’s Mobile Clinic Program which includes four mobile units that bring comprehensive healthcare to underserved children in the Houston area.
Dr. Misra is associate professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and a published author of research articles, book chapters, and a book on topics including refugee health, mobile clinics, and integrative medicine. She is an elected member of the executive committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Integrative Medicine, the Co-chair of the Academic Pediatric Association Section on Integrative Pediatrics, and the Co-chair of the Texas chapter of the Mobile Healthcare Association. Dr. Misra is also the Director of the integrative medicine program at Texas Children’s Hospital.
In her quest to help every person live a happier life, Dr. Misra enjoys leading resiliency sessions with faculty, residents, and medical students. Dr. Misra is the Chair of the Board of Doctors for Change, a bipartisan non-profit organization which advocates to improve the lives of all Texans. She is extremely grateful for her supportive husband and three wonderful children.
