Keturah is a Community Case Manager at WakeMed Health & Hospitals where she addresses basic needs of the highest Emergency Room utilizers, helping reduce recidivism while fostering community care. Keturah is a member of WakeMed’s Non-Pharmacologic Team, educating staff in aromatherapy practices and mindfulness techniques.
Prior to WakeMed, Keturah was Director of Social Work at several skilled nursing facilities and was instrumental in creating programs to enhance patient quality of life. Working in Home Health, Keturah gained insight into barriers patients face post discharge. Navigating the difficulties of complex health systems and bridges to community supports, she became committed to helping reduce these barriers.
Keturah is a Field Supervisor for several colleges and universities and teaches Direct Practice with Older Adults at NC State University’s School of Social Work. Keturah holds an MSW from NC State University and a BSW from Meredith College with a minor in Women’s Studies.
Keturah is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate, Certified Health Coach, and a NAHA Certified Professional Aromatherapist. Keturah uses an eclectic approach to build a culture of health that addresses the needs of the most vulnerable populations.
