2018-2021
Director of Clinical Operations
Allegany Rehabilitation Associates, Inc.
Rochester, New York
Biography

Kathryn Lewis, LCSW serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at Allegany Rehabilitation Associates (ARA), located in Wellsville, NY, a small agency that provides behavioral health services to residents of Allegany County. Since 2012, Kathryn’s work with ARA has been focused on clinical supervision, program development, service/system delivery change, and implementation of evidenced based treatment models into clinical services.

Kathryn graduated from the University of Buffalo in 2007 with a master’s degree in social work. She worked briefly in Allegany County for ARA and then served as a Program Director at Lake Shore Behavioral Health in Buffalo, NY for 3 years. She returned home to her rural community in 2012 and became the Program Director of the ARA PROS Program. In 2016, she was promoted to her current position at ARA to provide oversight of clinical activities in the Wellsville based facilities.

Kathryn has been invited to speak at several conferences sponsored by the New York Association for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services about leading person-centered service transformations that are also financially viable. Her lifelong roots in Allegany County have inspired her commitment to improving the quality and accessibility of services to rurally located populations that are often underserved, in addition to educating the community about the concept of recovery vs. traditional mental health treatment models.
