Dr. Joyce Javier is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. She received a BS from UCLA and a medical degree from UC Irvine. She completed residency training in pediatrics and fellowship training in general academic pediatrics at Stanford University.
She is a primary care pediatrician and physician scientist whose research has focused on addressing health disparities among minority immigrant populations. She has been the principal investigator of career development grants funded through the Eunice Kennedy National Institute for Child Health and Development and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. Her research over the past 16 years has focused on optimizing the well-being of Filipino American youth.
She is grateful for the support of her family, mentors, colleagues, trainees, and community partners- they have all helped her create a culture of family wellness in the Filipino community.
