Biography

Dr. Horacio G. Lopez is a Pediatrician, doing solo practice in Los Angeles, CA. He completed his medical degree in the Philippines at the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in 1980 and immigrated to the United States in 1982. He completed a pediatric residency training at King-Drew Medical Center, and went to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for A two-year fellowship training in Allergy/Immunology. Dr. Lopez is affiliated with Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, and was the Department Chair there from 2015 to 2016. He is very active in the community where he practices, which is an under-resourced part of the city.

Dr. Lopez has three children: JP, who is a licensed lawyer in Los Angeles turned entrepreneur and has an ice cream shop called Wanderlust Creamery; Angelica, who is an artist and tours Europe every year, by the name 'Low Leaf'; and Kristofer, who is a fourth year medical student in Manila, Philippines. He and his wife, Hazel, love to travel every year. They also have returned to the Philippines every February since 2006 for an annual medical mission, to give back to the poverty stricken community in Baao, Camarines Sur province.
