Biography

As a nurse I am committed to providing the best care to my patients. As a community volunteer I dedicate my time to serving on the following boards: Buncombe County Health & Human Services, Asheville-Buncombe Institute for Parity Achievement, Center for Diversity Education-University of North Carolina Asheville, Asheville Latin Americans for Achieving Success, Pisgah Legal Services, Pisgah Legal Services, YMCA Population Health Committee and Director of the Health Careers Academy within the Minority Medical Mentoring Program.

My worlds collide when I witness health inequities which I know are unjust and unfair. I constantly strive to achieve equity on both the community and the policy level.
