Biography

Fernando Janer Sánchez, ND, MSW, holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and a Master in Social Work degree from the Hunter College School of Social Work, with a focus on community organization and planning. Janer Sánchez is faculty at the Naturopathic Medicine School of Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Gurabo campus. He is also the founder and organizer of Proyecto Bohique, an initiative which brings natural therapeutics to underserved and hard-to-reach communities through the archipelago of Puerto Rico. His main interests are health-related behaviors, ecotherapy, mind/body medicine, personal and community change processes, and egalitarian models of organization.
