Biography

Charmaine Dorsey's (MSW, LCSW) career started with Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) 18 years ago as Clinical Social Worker. Her experience has ranged from Trauma and Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Rehabilitation and Primary Care, to working with pediatrics to older adults. She has served in both clinical and administrative roles.

Charmaine currently serves in a system-wide role for DHS coordinating Patient and Social Support in Los Angeles County, with consideration of behavioral health integration including addressing social determinants of health, effective utilization of the healthcare system, identifying creative solutions for post-acute care, authentic engagement with community and health plan partners in supporting the mission and vision.
