Biography

Ashley Farrens, MSN, MBA, RN, is the Violence Prevention Coordinator at Nebraska Medicine and coordinator of the Dusk to Dawn youth violence prevention program. She completed her Bachelors of Science in nursing at Creighton University and Masters in Nursing Leadership and Masters in Business at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She spent eight years as an emergency department nurse before becoming the outreach coordinator for the Nebraska Medicine Trauma Program.

In 2018, she was able to transition to the Violence Prevention Coordinator position to in building a hospital based violence intervention program and building a strong partnership with other community based organizations in Omaha to try and stop the cycle of violence in the community.
