Community Impact: Big Idea Talk

What difference does a familiar face make for people who interact with crisis systems frequently?

A Familiar Face for Familiar Faces, a talk by Derrick Hoover.

How does it feel to see a familiar face, especially when you are in a vulnerable situation or sick? Family physician Derrick Hoover shares his story as a traveler in challenging situations to help illustrate how difficult daily life is for people who navigate our complicated crisis systems frequently. In Wake County, North Carolina, his team is helping create a reality where human connection and simple treatments earlier on can save lives and money.

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
