Are you interested in applying for Clinical Scholars? Take this quick eligibility quiz to see if you are eligible to apply as part of a team!
Do you believe we need good leadership to change health outcomes and are you committed to learning new tools to be a better leader?
Clinical Scholars equips healthcare providers from every discipline with leadership tools centered in equity, diversity, and inclusion to transform their careers and the health of their communities. Over the three-year program, Fellows are required to attend seven (7) one-week-long onsites and dedicate an average of 2 hours per week to program-related learning and activities.
Do you have 5 or more years clinical practice experience post-licensure?
i.e., when in your career were you first legally allowed to practice without supervision as an audiologist, clinical counselor, dentist, dietician, nurse, nurse practitioner, nutritionist, occupational therapist, pharmacist, physical therapist, physician (post residency and boards), physician assistant, psychologist, social worker (post provisional license), speech language pathologist, or veterinarian
This iteration of Clinical Scholars supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation was not set up for students or early-career health care providers. Because of this, one of our eligibility criteria is that professionals must be at least 5 years post licensure and training in their discipline. Hopefully, when you are eligible in the future you will consider applying then.
Are you currently working as one or more of the following:
- Health care provider: seeing patients in a clinical or school setting
- Supervisor: supervising trainees or students
- Administrator: serving in a systems-level leadership role in the direction of patient care (e.g., nurse administrator)
Clinical Scholars seeks experienced health care providers from every discipline to collaborate in new ways, extend their influence and impact as leaders, and create change in their communities. If you are not working in at least one of these ways currently, you would not be eligible but could be in the future if that changes.
Are you a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or individual granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”) status by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services?
Clinical Scholars is one of a number of national leadership programs supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation’s largest health philanthropy. Together, these programs are building a network of strong, interdisciplinary leaders from every sector working to build a culture that provides everyone in the United States and its territories a fair and just opportunity for health and well-being.
