Our MISSION
To equip healthcare providers from every discipline with leadership tools centered in equity, diversity, and inclusion to transform their careers and the health of their communities.
More often than not, health professional education and training does not provide the tools, knowledge, and skills providers need to lead significant change as both professionals and trusted members of communities. Clinical Scholars is designed to address that gap.
We recognize the need for a diverse mix of health care providers working together in new ways. For example, we know that pharmacists, dentists, social workers, and others who may work outside a traditional clinical setting have a tremendous role in building a Culture of Health. We know that human health is tightly linked with animal and environmental health, so we see veterinarians as vital members of our teams. We embrace the power of collaboration and unexpected perspectives.
We seek to develop a national movement to establish health as a shared value and essential priority across the U.S. and its territories, and to ensure that people are supported to live the healthiest lives possible where they live, learn, work and play. This shift toward a Culture of Health will be fueled by leadership, innovation, and collaboration from clinicians pursuing leading-edge research, policies, and practice. These interprofessional teams will be prepared to lead transformative change—centered on health equity—in their communities.
